Education:-

Radhakisan Foundation’s flagship programme Mission Education works with the
objective of empowering underprivileged children by providing education, nutrition,
and wellness support. The programme is well aligned to the New Education Policy
(2020), and the SDG Goal 4 (Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and
promote lifelong learning opportunities for all). Mission Education works with
children (3-18 years) living in difficult circumstances, children from poor families,
differently abled children, disaster-struck children, abandoned and street children, and
children living in tribal belts, remote villages and hard to reach areas.

Healthcare & Sanitation

Radhakisan Foundation’s comprehensive and community-centric health programme takes primary healthcare services to the doorsteps of underserved communities in both rural and urban India. Following a two pronged approach, the programme provides curative as well as preventive services, addressing the gaps in availability, accessibility and affordability of healthcare.

Disaster Relief

Radhakisan Foundation, with its welfare interventions focused on children and their families, responds to the call of humanity in times of such calamities under its Disaster Response programme through emergency relief programs. From the Kashmir earthquake in 2005 to the Fani cyclone in 2019 and the Assam Floods in 2022, Smile Foundation has acted promptly to reach out and respond to the immediate needs of the disaster affected people, while also maintaining a sustainable approach to help them rebuild their lives by facilitating their education, healthcare and livelihood.  Some of the calamities during which Radhakisan Foundation has initiated crisis management during disaster are the Tsunami, the Kashmir Earthquake, the Maharashtra floods, the Bihar floodsmand the Uttarakhand floods.

Livelihood

Radhakisan Foundation through its Livelihood programme connects the unemployed or underemployed youth from disadvantaged groups and communities with the sectors which have large growth potential in terms of revenue generation and employability. The staggering youth population underutilised in the job market because of a lack of requisite qualifications and training are upskilled, uplifted, and mainstreamed to become a part of the country’s growth story. The livelihood programme aims to complement the government’s vision and efforts under the Skill India mission, and is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals

Woman Empowerment

Radhakisan Foundation’s women empowerment programme She Leads, initiated in 2024, reaches out to marginalized and socially-excluded women with interventions in nutrition, healthcare, and livelihood. The programme capacitates women through innovative community practices, empowering them to seek healthcare and bring sustainable changes in the community, while also supporting them to become aware, skilled, and financially independent. She Leads also actively works to create a gender equal society, actively engaging men, and boys to participate in the process of women empowerment.

Privileged Children

Privileged children are sensitized about the deprivation and pain endured by the underprivileged kids. Child For Child seeks to inculcate a conscience and value system in the children so that they grow up to become responsible citizens and change makers. Before their minds are set with age, the Child For Child programme tries to make them count their own blessings and understand the plight of less privileged ones. Once they start realizing the worth of the privileges they are born with, they automatically turn their thoughts towards positivity and develop the right outlook. This eventually helps them develop into not only successful but responsible individuals in life. They grow up to become significant change makers, who contribute positively to the society.

Internships

At Radhakisan Foundation, we believe in the power of young minds to drive change and innovation. Our internship program is designed to provide students, graduates, and early-career professionals with hands-on experience in the non-profit sector, particularly in the areas of research, development, and community empowerment. Through this program, we aim to offer practical exposure to real-world challenges while simultaneously nurturing the next generation of social impact leaders.
1. Research Internships:-
Radhakisan Foundation offers a variety of research-focused internships that allow interns to work closely with our R&D team. Interns gain experience in conducting field research, data analysis, and contributing to the development of research papers and reports. This provides valuable insight into the process of designing, executing, and analyzing research projects, helping interns understand the critical role that data and evidence-based strategies play in creating sustainable solutions for marginalized communities.
2. Development and Fieldwork Internships:-
Our development-focused internships are ideal for individuals interested in the practical aspects of social development. Interns in this stream engage with local communities to assess their needs, implement programs, and monitor the progress of ongoing projects. This provides them with invaluable field experience, enabling them to understand the challenges and rewards of working in the development sector. Interns also have the opportunity to collaborate with local stakeholders, government bodies, and other NGOs, enhancing their understanding of the broader development ecosystem.
3. Advocacy and Communication Internships:-
Radhakisan Foundation’s advocacy and communication internships offer interns the chance to be involved in the Foundation’s outreach efforts. Interns contribute to creating awareness about our projects through digital marketing, social media management, and content creation. They also help in drafting press releases, newsletters, and blogs, ensuring that our work reaches a wider audience. This internship stream is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in communications, public relations, and advocacy work within the non-profit sector.
4. Capacity Building and Training Internships:-
Capacity building is at the heart of our efforts to empower communities, and through these internships, individuals get involved in organizing training workshops and skill-building sessions for local beneficiaries. Interns gain firsthand experience in designing curriculum, conducting training, and evaluating the effectiveness of these programs. These internships offer insights into how education and\ training can help uplift communities and improve their long-term prospects.
5. Cross-functional Exposure:-
At Radhakisan Foundation, we believe in providing a holistic experience. Interns often have the opportunity to work across multiple functions, gaining exposure to various aspects of non-profit work, including project management, fundraising, policy advocacy, and strategic planning. This multi- disciplinary approach helps interns develop a well-rounded skill set that prepares them for diverse careers in the social development sector.
6. Mentorship and Professional Development:-
Our internship program emphasizes mentorship, where interns are guided by experienced professionals from various fields. Through regular feedback sessions, one-on-one mentoring, and skill development workshops, interns are equipped with the tools needed to excel in their careers. We also provide career counseling and networking opportunities to help interns explore future career paths in the social impact sector.
7. Networking and Exposure to the Non-Profit Sector:-
Interns at Radhakisan Foundation have the chance to interact with thought leaders, social entrepreneurs, and experts from various fields through events, conferences, and workshops organized by the Foundation. These interactions provide interns with valuable networking opportunities and a deeper understanding of the broader social development landscape.

Through our internship program, Radhakisan Foundation aims to cultivate a new generation of socially conscious professionals, equipped with the skills, experience, and knowledge to contribute to sustainable development. We believe that internships are an important platform for fostering passion, leadership, and innovation in the field of social change, and we are proud to offer this opportunity to those eager to make a difference.
